A Q&A with Miodrag Grujic

In a nutshell, tell us about yourself

My dealing with energy recently celebrated its 21st birthday. Since I come from Southeast Europe, where the energy transition has many more steps to go, I know very well that energy efficiency is the greatest energy, economic and environmental resource. When the aspect of climate change is added to that, we can never end our action. For me, working for E Co. constantly brings something new and makes life and work exciting.

What are you most proud of?

My children, I am proud to see that they are already better than me.

When are you happiest?

After successfully completing a job that was very challenging. A mug of beer is on the table, and the road to the Mediterranean is on my mind.

How would you like to be remembered?

I want to make results for the benefit of the community and to be remembered as correct, reliable and concrete.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Dealing with energy and climate change can never be over. There is always a new and bigger challenge. And the consequence of our work is always some concrete improvement. When I see that we have moved from the final report to a concrete realisation, I feel complete satisfaction.

What do you most wish for in your work?

I want to see a quality result. If I don’t know something, give me a time-out to learn. The feeling of satisfaction is better if we crossed over a mountain to reach the goal.
