Sandi Maung

In a nutshell, tell us about yourself:

I grew up in Yangon, Myanmar where I lived with my mother and three siblings. Drawn to creativity, I moved to London to study art and design, eventually specialising in animation and visual effects. University life was challenging, as I navigated remote learning during the pandemic and the February 2021 coup in Myanmar. After graduating, I worked in a series of part time jobs before embarking on an exciting new chapter as a marketing intern at E Co. where I am eager to apply my creative skills to impactful work.

What are your loves?

Cats, coffee, takeout, traveling to new places and films (especially ones with plot twists)

Who or what do you most admire?

My mother, who works so hard to raise and support four children while managing her businesses.

What drives you to do this kind of work?

I am driven by the opportunity to use creativity to support meaningful environmental and social change through impactful, purpose driven work.

Name three things on your bucket list:

• Travel to Iceland and hopefully see the Northern Lights
• Plant a tree and watch it grow
• Take my mom and siblings on a dream vacation
