In a nutshell, tell us about yourself:

I am mixed English and Moroccan, born in France though grew up in a rural part of England, where windy beach days and forest camping were regular events. Thanks to my mixed background I grew up with an appreciation of different cultures, which has carried through into my professional life. I have always been passionate about social justice, indigenous peoples rights and the environment, leading me to study Geography where I was able to understand the deep connections and history between the environment and human societies. My career began in rural development and humanitarian work before pivoting to climate change, bringing together my interests of justice, sustainable development and environment. I am deeply driven by impactful and meaningful work, as well as working in diverse and dedicated teams.

What are your loves?

Being in nature, and learning a new dance or language.

What’s the best holiday you’ve ever had?

Hiking in Nepal with a group of friends, in a less trodden national park (zero other tourists) and ending up staying in a Tibetan nunnery on a mountaintop!

Which book has changed your life?

Reading Isabel Allende’s City of Beasts trilogy exposed me to many worlds from a young age.
