Policies, nationally and trans-nationally, are the backbone for tackling climate change. Our work in supporting their development for local governments and global organisations is setting the framework to foster international collaboration on climate finance, innovation, emissions reduction and adaptation.
Policies set and drive national priorities, they create incentives by encouraging green technologies, sustainable practices and in creating an enabling environment for climate-resilient infrastructure, agriculture, livelihoods, the list goes on…
Supporting policy development is crucial. Policies promote good governance and guide action. They ensure transparency, accountability, and public participation in climate action. With the right policies the right resources can be mobilised, to build resilience towards a just transition.
