B.Sc – Environmental Sciences
Aside from my deep love for the environment, which drives my dedication to climate change, I come from a rich mix of cultures. My father is Lebanese (his father Lebanese/Syrian, his mother Brazilian), and my mother is Spanish-Lebanese (her father Lebanese / Turkish, her mother Spanish, descended from one of Christopher Columbus’s captains!!). I was born in Beirut and grew up in Lebanon, Greece and Dubai, before moving to Madrid for university, where I met my husband. Sixteen years later, we have three wonderful kids and a dog, and life is full, busy and full of funny stories.
My six-month old son….(As of December 2025. If you’re reading this in the future, please calculate his age yourself, I’m too sleep-deprived…!)
Anywhere, doing anything, with my family or friends. But my ideal weekend? Me, a book, and either the fireplace in winter or the garden in spring/summer…In reality, I would be reading the same sentence 30 times because someone would keep yelling “Moooom”.
What drives me is the same thing that first inspired me back in college: seeing Michael Jackson’s ‘Earth Song’ for the first time. That video made the impacts of environmental damage feel real and it set me on a path toward climate and environmental work. That motivation has stayed with me ever since
Vacationing with my husband and kids, anytime, anywhere. Pasta (always), French music (the good old chansons françaises), Greek culture which takes me right back to my childhood.
