Writing and designing fundable climate projects can be difficult. For example, the process of submitting proposals to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) often comes with a lot of scrutiny and comments that may lead to many challenges for the project designer.

In this eighteenth edition of GCF insight, we hear from stakeholders about the most common areas where they receive comments and queries about their projects, including economic and financial elements, data availability and project activities. We also discuss the challenges that project designers face when trying to address these comments and suggest potential ways forward.

The views expressed in this report are those of the authors and do not represent those of the GCF. Nothing in the interviews or any information or material relating thereto shall be construed as implying any official endorsement of, or responsibility on, the part of the GCF.
